God is inviting us to slow down and rest in him. Our greatest impediment to vibrant faith might not be an area of sin with which we have always struggled, but instead constant motion. We simply don’t grow closer to Jesus without repentance, resting, and returning to Him.

What I needed most was God’s sustaining presence. I slowed down. I sat in silence. I began to talk with God like a friend who I knew would love me and listen to me.

My calling as a Spiritual Director is to companion with people who find themselves in dark places. My hope is that the places of darkness in your life will be opportunities for God to get your attention and see your world in a new way.

1. Give thanks to God for the blessings of the day

2. Ask God for wisdom and clarity

3. Reflect on the day and consider periods of nearness or distance

4. Seek forgiveness for any wrongs committed

5. Resolve to change
